One of our primary responsibilities in educating young children is to establish strong, positive relationships with children to support their development. With that also comes the responsibility to scaffold their development, including skills like executive function. Take a moment to reflect on the chart you completed. Was it difficult to identify tasks to support the development of cognitive flexibility, working memory, and inhibitory control? How could you embed these tasks into your daily routines? Submit your thoughts below, and continue to think about how to integrate these activities into your classroom practice.
