The graphic below provides some strategies for supporting school-age children develop their mental flexibility. This is especially difficult for children with Autism and other developmental disabilities. To support the growth of all learners, it is our responsibility to be responsive to their needs and utilize these kinds of strategies in our own practice to scaffold them as well.
