Writing objectives, as any teacher knows, is only half the battle. Translating those learning objectives into daily lesson plans and practices is an additional challenge. One suggestion we make is that lessons be repeated so children have multiple experiences to engage with materials, discovering new ways to manipulate, observe, and transform them. In a similar way, objectives can be used over time to support children’s learning, instead of being completed in a day. The robust learning objectives and rubrics you have been creating cannot be met and completed in one day. Consider a lesson plan format that can account for this.
